Hacienda RV Resort in Las Cruces, New Mexico, delivers a premium full-service RV resort experience in the Mesilla Valley where the Rio Grande flows through the northern Chihuahuan Desert in the shadow of the Organ Mountains, providing easy access to White Sands National Park, the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, and the historic El Camino Real corridor that makes southern New Mexico one of the American Southwest's most layered and compelling travel destinations. The resort's full amenity infrastructure and mountain views create a Chihuahuan Desert resort camping experience of high quality at pricing that reflects Las Cruces's position outside the premium gateway city markets. The resort's amenity package is comprehensive for a desert Southwest property: big-rig-friendly full hookup sites, hot tub and sauna, fitness center, clubhouse, game room, general store, boutique shop, pet washing station, dog park, laundry, showers, and Wi-Fi provide the complete infrastructure for extended desert stays. Planned activities and the mountain backdrop of the Organ Mountains visible from the resort's grounds add organized programming and scenic value alongside the independent recreation opportunities that Las Cruces's remarkably diverse natural and cultural landscape provides within day-trip range. The resort's boutique shop reflects the Southwest arts and crafts character that Las Cruces's Mesilla Plaza artisan community expresses. Las Cruces occupies the Mesilla Valley at the crossroads of three significant historic travel routes—the El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro connecting Mexico City to Santa Fe, the Butterfield Overland Mail route, and the Southern Pacific Railroad's southern transcontinental corridor—creating a community whose historic district and the adjacent Mesilla Plaza preserve one of the most authentic colonial Spanish New Mexico townscapes in existence. The Mesilla Plaza, just minutes from the resort, was the site of the 1854 Gadsden Purchase treaty signing that established the current border between New Mexico and Mexico and is surrounded by colonial-era adobe buildings now occupied by restaurants, galleries, and shops. White Sands National Park, approximately 50 miles east of Las Cruces via US-70, protects the world's largest gypsum dunefield—275 square miles of brilliantly white wave-shaped dunes rising up to 60 feet in the Tularosa Basin between the San Andres and Sacramento mountain ranges in a landscape so otherworldly that NASA uses it for planetary surface research. The Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, beginning just east of Las Cruces city limits, provides immediate access to the jagged granite spires of the Organ Mountains and the desert trails of the Chihuahuan Desert landscape in one of the most accessible national monuments in the Southwest for day hiking and wildlife observation. Hacienda RV Resort operates year-round in Las Cruces's Chihuahuan Desert climate, where the 3,900-foot elevation moderates the extreme summer heat of lower desert communities and delivers mild November-through-April winters that make the resort one of the Rio Grande valley's most practical snowbird destinations. The region's wine production along the Rio Grande appellation has developed significantly over the past two decades, with the Mesilla Valley's wineries creating tasting-room tourism that complements the White Sands and Organ Mountains day trips on the resort guest's itinerary. The green chile harvest season in late August and September drives agricultural tourism that celebrates the Hatch and Mesilla Valley's most iconic culinary product.

Our stay was a quick overnight stay. It was clean and well ran park. We were parked in front next to the road , so there was some traffic noise but not enough to bother us. Less than an hour to White Sands National Park. The drive was beautiful and enjoyable. Nice Park, would stay here again.

lesson learned at another park, remove the landing feet from our Fifth wheel due to the curbs of the campground. Last stay was in our travel trailer and that was not an issue. Good WIFI and some road noise from our site near the road. Will stay next time but will pay to lock in a farther site from the street....Show more
